A leading international European engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Regional Director – Power & Energy to lead the continued development and growth of its Power & Energy business across the Middle East. This is a senior regional leadership appointment combining business growth, client development, market strategy and oversight of major Power and Energy programmes.

You will have an established network across the region and a strong understanding of the evolving Power and Energy market, spanning conventional and renewable generation, transmission and grid infrastructure, and energy transition.


The Role

  • Lead the development and growth of the Power & Energy business across the region.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government entities, utilities, developers and major energy clients.
  • Identify, develop and convert strategic opportunities across the Middle East.
  • Provide senior oversight of major Power and Energy projects and programmes.
  • Work closely with technical teams to develop solutions aligned with client and market requirements.
  • Support regional business planning, commercial performance and growth strategy.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and strengthen the organisation’s position across key regional markets.
  • Represent the business with senior clients, partners and industry stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
  • Typically 18+ years’ experience within the Power, Energy or associated infrastructure sectors.
  • Significant senior leadership experience within the Middle East/GCC.
  • Broad exposure across power generation, transmission, distribution, substations, renewable energy, grid infrastructure and/or energy transition.
  • Demonstrable success in business development, client acquisition and securing major projects.
  • Experience leading teams, projects, portfolios or business units within an engineering, consultancy or major project environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and senior stakeholder-management capability.
  • Fluent Arabic and English are essential.
